From the time I could hold a crayon, I knew that there was power in the creative act of making things. There is a magic to transforming a blank sheet of paper into an image of a giant crocodile wearing a headband running in a marathon, or words melodically weaved together to articulate an emotion that every-day language cannot communicate.
Our ability to reimagine and recreate our world is what differentiates humans from other animals. We are only limited by our imaginations, which is why it is so important that the arts be a fundamental part of any educational system, organization, or institution.
