Finding Hope in Paint

Open Hands is a cross-community initiative in Ireland where volunteers from both sides of the Belfast divide unite to paint an anti-discrimination mural that projects tolerance, hope, and humanity. The central figure of the mural is social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman, Frederick Douglass, and pays tribute to the humanitarian ideals that he devoted his life to.
