It’s been almost four years since I officially started the Art is Power project. In that time, I’ve learned many things beyond how the arts are used as a tool for empowerment in different areas such as personal and mental health to economics. One of the insights that I’ve had in the past year is that the arts do a great job cultivating the mental disposition to spend time on projects. Whether it is one project that develops over multiple stages or small projects that can be completed in little time, the arts are about process. Like any meaningful undertaking, it takes time and dedication to master something.
